Re: sharp lc-c5255u only blink codes no picture
Probably been damaged somehow, but there's another fault as it's giving a 5 and 2 blink code. As it lights up, PSU and inverter and probably OK, and the main and T-con are suspect.

Re: sharp lc-c5255u only blink codes no picture
Try this to see if you can force on the power supply, unplug it from the wall outlet then
Hold [CH_DOWN] and [VOL_UP] on TV, plug in the AC power cord while holding both buttons in.
Above was taken from "just answer"
Try at your own risk though as you will be forcing the psu to switch on.Leave a comment:

Re: sharp lc-c5255u only blink codes no picture
Does it click when its plugged in or when you plug it in then press the power button?
You get no clicking when the main board is disconnected because there is no power on signal coming from it.Leave a comment:

sharp lc-c5255u only blink codes no picture
New here and first time to post. My son picked up a sharp lc-c5255u from a neighbor. Neighbor reported the screen stopped working. We decided to make it a project to getting it working again and learn something about electronics along the way. When plugged in, there is one click and after approx 15 seconds another click resulting in the power light blinking 2 times and OPC light blinking 5 times and repeats the sequence. No light or image on the screen. I read on a post in this forum about the blink code similar to these and online suggesting power supply issue. I was able to replace power supply with another new one but got same results. We looked over the caps which all seemed in good shape. I disconnected the connections from the power supply to each component one at a time hoping to isolate the bad component. Only when the main board is disconnected from power supply, there is no clicking or blink code or light on the screen. Would that mean the main board in bad? Can anyone tell me about this part of the main board? Looks like fuses to me. Are they suppose to have metal on them like car fuses, etc.? Thanks for any help you can provide.Tags: None

Hello, looking for a list of error codes for this TV. made in 2020, its manufactured by Hisense under Sharp brand. No clicks, black screen, no sound, power light is on solid. When I press power, it blinks 5 normal blinks and 1 short. and nothing happens.
Anybody has a list of error codes that might apply to this TV? I have not opened it yet.

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
by BeeShadowHey everyone! I inherited a "free" Sharp lc-70le755u with a strange picture issue. To try to explain, the picture flickers before what I think is a power saving mode kicks in and reduces the back light. I took a short video and uploaded it here:

I'm thinking it could be the TCon board, but possibly the panel. Thought it might be worth it to post here and see if anyone has a better idea before I try throwing parts at it. If its the panel (which I hope its not), then I won't bother trying to fix it. - Loading...
