How certain are you the TV has no sound?

Can you connect a video source with sound, then press the input button to switch through the inputs, and see if you then hear sound?

Also, is the full model just NS-LCD42?

i have the same problem, I have a ns-lcd47hd, no sound no image even with a bright light. Led power indicater turns blue (stays solid and doesnt turn off or on until i push the power button), all voltages test right, have tried a new power supply and mainboard but neither fixed the problem, there is a voltage regulator and a capacitor on the new mainboard and both are getting hot.
my question is, should I replace the master and slave inverter boards
or should i replace the tcon boards

@ocp, can we see the pictures of the Inverter boards/ I want to be able to see the 24V pin and the BL_ON/OFF PIN, you will need th check the DC voltages on those 2 pins.

Re: No pic or sound Insignia 42''

im sure they are getting the correct voltage, he just replaced the power supply, theres going to be a failure of the master/slave power inverter or the tcon board.
Once I find the problem, I post a guide, I have found hundreds of the exact same problem with no one posting the fix.

You need to look for BL_ON signal pin on the Master inverter board, I cannot tell you which pin that is until I see the pictures.
