Most likely D board but I have seen the A board show a slightly similar problem. I have no testing procedure, just past examples. Some one else may have something to say....I suppose you could test the regulators on the D and A.

In this case, I am using "A" board as main assembly, I believe yours to have like 4 boards that consist of the main; correct me if I am wrong but: DG, DT, DV, and H...possibly Z (but that is not related to your issue)

ok, i have tools and meters and familiar with them, how do i go about testing those ? would love to have this hanging in my bedroom if i can get it working.

Well first make sure the power supply is outputting the correct voltages (with respect to the legends printed beside the connectors) and look for obviously blown components.

Then look at the D board and find the transistors on that board and measure the voltage out of each pin and you can post the results with the readings referenced to the part name.
        So
        U11 - 7805
        Pin 1: 12.05v
        Pin 2: 0.12v
        Pin 3: 5.01V
        for example.

But it can also be done to the IC's not working correctly, no way to test that without a scope and guide.

ok will do, as soon as i can get some time in the next day or two ill pull the cover off the back and start, just wanted to make sure no one had seen this before and it was cut and dry replace this board, etc.

Ok, it would probably be good too to include pictures via the attachments feature under advanced reply.
