SONY KDL-52S4100 t-con problems

Hello, first post here.
Ok I have a SONY KDL-52S4100 that has sound when on, but no Picture. The back light comes on but no pic, I bought a e-bay t-con "used" and plugged it in with no fix, but if I wiggle it I can sometimes get it to pop up a picture for a few sec, and some times after It heat's up some it works fine, so I do believe I have a bad T-con but I read somewhere on some forum/board. that this model TV used two diff T-cons though its build lifetime, So a T-con from SN# say 1 to 5000 wont work in a 5001 to 9999 units, kinda thing.

A lot of the T-cons you buy on ebay and other shops are pulls from cracked screen TVs, which mean they are untested. I would send the "new" T-con back it sounds like it has an intermittent contact which could have been worsened by an impact (such as the TV being dropped in shipping, hence the screen getting cracked and the boards harvested.)
