It works for awhile then the backlights go off but the sound stays on. If it is unplugged it will work for awhile then the backlights will go off agin. The longer it is unplugged the longer it will work. I have replace both inverter boards, but didn't help. When I lose thge picture I have 5.28 volts at the fuse of the t-con, 12 volts to the top plug og the inverter. I also repaced the caps with the red X in the photos on the power board. The first picture of the scope is when the picture is working and the second on is when the picture goes off.

Re: Samsung LN-T4032H
Resolder ALL the joints under the transistors on the heatsinks. Samsung TVs are well known for cold solder joints. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung LN-T4032H
Yeh I thought of that, but how do I test for it. If I unplug a light at the inverter board the tv will not turn on. I do not get any dark areas before the picture quitsComment

Re: Samsung LN-T4032H
You would have to take the panel apart unfortunately to see if there's a bad bulb, it's often not visible on the screen. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
