My Samsung pn58a550s1fxza powers up normally with sound but there is no picture at all. The panel is dark and it does not flicker when it is turned on. The first thing I did was replace about six caps on the power supply that were known to be bad. Still had the same issue. Everything I have read online lead me to believe that it was the y-sustain board. I ordered a Y-sus and both buffer boards and replaced them all at the same time. I still have the same issue. Now I'm leaning back towards the psu again but I don't have a service manual so I wanted to ask if anyone happens to know the voltages coming into the Y main? or if anyone else has had the same issue. While I can't assist you with the defect you're having, I have the full service manual, schematics and training manual for this particular set.
I've reached out to tom66 for a way to send him the manual to host it on his site (http://www.tgohome.com/ServiceManuals/); it is approximately 77mb including all PDF documentation, schematics and powerpoint training guide.

Sorry for the brief post, but I just had a failure trying to post a long and more detailed one and that got me upset.
First, having sound, but no image is rarely a power supply board problem, except in some of the older power supplies which allow Vs to go low unnoticed; most modern supplies would shut off if Vs goes out of range in either direction.
That said, checking Vs is still the frist thing I'd do if I have sound, but no image in a plasma TV.
Next would be the sustain boards output voltages.

Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

Hello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
