Roomies TV just started looking like this. Can this be bad caps or the mainboard?

Worth saving or just another paper weight?

I dont think it would be either Bad caps or main board IMO. Not knowing the Model # and actual pictures with the back off, its hard to let you know what actual part is the failure one. Since its an LCD TV its most likely your T-con board, that would be the one that sends the picture to the Panel screen. Or it could possibly be your panel screen. The thing I would do is try changing your T-con board first since its the cheaper of the two.

IC 101. $9.74 from the surplus shop and 3 hours of looking for it and 3 hours of patching it together.

Anyone else gets this problem just goto ebay I noticed after wasting my day off that a T board 9965 for this is only $14.
