Sharp Aquos Model LC40C32U HDMI problem

Hey I got a 32" Sharp Aquos Model #,LC40C32U. The AVI, VGA, and other inputs are working great however the HDMI inputs don't seem to work. When plugging into HDMI, I get a flashing on and off pink screen. Any idea's what can be causing this? Main board problem perhaps? The OSD is showing up fine though.

definatley sounds like main board, however, check all the hdmi inputs 4 on this model?,for signal changes, clean out the hdmi ports with iso alcohol ,check your hdmi lead, then check that the voltages from the psu is correct going to the main board

There are two hdmi ports on this TV. I tried with both inputs and both have the same response with pink flashing screen, so I don't think the port is the problem itself. I'll be checking the voltages in a bit.

Actually nevermind I found the problem. Jiggling the input around I got different responses on the screen. I accidently bent the hdmi cable awhile back so i had to strip it and restore each lead on it so i think there was a bad connection with the cable. What threw me off was that the cable worked fine on another TV but not this one. Thanks!

Sharp aquos lc-40le820e power on problem
          by j120975
Good afternoon to all of you. First of all sorrybfor my bad English. I have a sharp aquos tv ,and i m dealing this problem. If i leave the power cord disconnected, then it starts normally for one minute approximately. After that the tv restarts and only the touch panel lights working for about 10 seconds and only 1-2 seconds lights up the led panel. After that loop again. No signal lights in center. I think probably is a power supply problem . I can see 5 v ,13.3v in 4 pins . I m a mobile technician and i can follow your instructions if you yave some suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
          by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
          by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Sharp Aquos LC-40UG7252E LCD TV burn in?
          by jonah1024
          Hello!

I'm a few days old into this TV screens repair universe so please bear with me.

Recently, and all of a sudden my 40ā€ 4K Sharp Aquos LCD TV turned on with colors all smudged in some places on the screen that remain like that even without any kind of video source. I do have image but the colors are smudged/tinted/ washed out in patches as per defects. This to me looks similar to burn in but I’m shore this is not an OLED.

          - I did the classic unplug and hold power button to discharge the caps but it didn't help.
          - I did a factory reset as well...

I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
          1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
          2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
          3. Problem: TV shuts down
