Bush IDLCD27TV006 fixed but Freeview crashing

hi, ive managed to fix the faulty power board on this tv, and now it works until i tune in freeview channels, then the tv starts to glitch and then freezes and i have to either turn the tv off then on, or change the input to scart or tv and it works ok but then when switched back to digital its still on the same freezed screen

would this be the tuner board(suspected) or could it be a main board issue, i dont want to order the tuner and it still not work, so anyone with similar fault could point me towards a solution

will crack open again later and take pictures of tuner and main board if needed

Vestel chassis? Reseat the connector from Freeview DVB board to the main board, on mine it was loose and causing random lockups.

Re: Bush IDLCD27TV006 fixed but Freeview crashing

tv works fine through SCART FREEVIEW BOX, ITS PERFECT!

but through tv(analogue) and Digital its like theres an issue with the tcon, glitching screen and menus glitching(see pics with the lines), but when through scart the menus are fine and picture is good(last picture)

ive checked all the connections and they seem fine, ive even tried wiggling when tvs on and its not done anything differant, im starting to think the main board might be knakered and thats why the scart works and the others dont

        any ideas anyone?

            Is it a Vestel?

Are all the PSU outputs ok?

how will i check that? numbers on the boards are all 05TA(071B power board) 059A main board, and tuner is 05TA092

              ill check voltages now...

they all check ok 16V seemed a bit high....20V

but now ive powered it up without the aerial in it its ok no lines or glitching or anything

Vestel have "Vestel" written all over them.

If it doesn't affect SCART, the fault is with the main board, which could be tricky to source. You may sometimes find it by pressing on the larger processors on the board.

you got me thinking now tho....coz its got loads of G-Luxon caps on the PSU, so gonna try and get it to fault again then retest to see if voltages are all still there and try your pressing method

only thing written on main board is PROFILO TELR@ and the number

what does MV stand for on the PSU connector? does it come from the main board or does it supply the main board from the power board? its bouncing around like mad when the tv glitches its only 0.7v when working but im guessing thats something to do with the problem

yes mate, but it hasnt made any differance

might just give up on this one and sell it for spares or repairs, because it was working fine a minute ago freeview and every thing and i cant get it to fault now, only thing now is the screen stays black for a bit before coming on unless you give it a tap(im guessing ribbons are loose on tcon) but im not stripping it down again tonight

Bad BGA or solder joint on main board... or loose connector...

I can hear Fred Sanford now...."YOU BIG DUMMY".....I pulled the "F" connector out of the tuner by accident. The tuner number is BN40-00248B. Low and behold I had a scrap board with tuner number BN40-00248A. Although the tuner is different (according to Encompass.com) it's footprint on the board is exactly the same as the 248B so I decided to de-solder the tuner off the scrap board to see what I was getting in to.

As you can see in the picture the terminals and solder pads are super small. No matter what I tried I could not get either the terminals or support...

                                          by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.

This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.

Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...

Need help identifying an IC chip on a Bush DAB radio (BD-1801)
                                          by tyler123456
                                          Hi,

Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.

I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.

I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)

Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)

                                          Anyone...

Does Changing Out Caps In A Tuner Effect FM Reception
                                          by Mark R
"TQ" Subject at hand is a Marantz 120 tuner. The tuner lit up but no output. Recapped the entire unit. Before it was working fine tuning in Stereo and Mono. Now it just about tunes Stereo and some of the mono stations are weak. Nothing else was changed. When you do hit a stereo station the stereo lamp will come on but flickers as it's trying to hold the MPX signal.

I don't see how bringing the unit back with new caps checked by my Sencore LC103 would effect the FM section. Every Value is as it was from the factory?

                                          Any Thoughts?
