    LG 42LG50-UA rebooting

Hey, I have an 42LG50 that recently started powering up for 2-3sec then powering down, and keeps repeating for about 2-3mins and then it works fine as if nothing is wrong. As soon as i go to turn it off, it start going through the cycle again. I can only turn it off by unplugging it directly! Any ideas as to the cause? I opened the back and blew out dust and checked cap's and all seemed fine. Thanks for the help!

You have not provided any pictures, so I can just give you general information. You really should post pictures of the back of the unit (rear cover removed) and close ups of each board. This will help people assist your troubleshooting.

On the main board, look for a connector, probably on the left or bottom edge of the board. It will have probably 9 -15 small wires coming out of it, and those wires will go down to the bottom of the unit, and across to the left edge (as viewed from behind TV). When you first turn it on (so it is acting up) unplug this connector at the main board, immediately after first turning unit on. If problem continues wht this plug disconnected, your problem is probably on the main board. If it stops with this disconnected, your problem is with one of the 2 small boards that this cable runs to.

If the problem is on one of the small boards, you can then isolate the board by reconnecting the connector at the main board, and unplugging the small connector going to the control (function switch) board on the left edge of the TV, (as viewed from the rear).

I have the exact same issue with my six month old 50" LG plasma ... Thinking of a warranty replacement but that´s a lot of hassle.

If worst comes to worst and you can never get this TV to work please let me know. I have the 42LG30-UA and desperately need a new LCD screen!

I'm sure as the cycling, but mine would just turn on then off because of a bad slave inverter & a bad CCFL.

          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
          - sound and backlight, but no picture
          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
          - it keeps rebooting
          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

          Samsung QE50Q60TA rebooting
          by plytek
          Hi all.

I'm trying to fix my Samsung QE50Q60TA TV.
          IT's rebooting every few seconds.
I have done some tests and it looks like it stops rebooting when I tape pin 46 (I thinks it's FB_1) on the ribbon tape that connects two boards atteched to screen, but nothing is visible, just backlight is solid and I can hear sound. Taping over other pins doesn't work.
Have also soldered two pins on the motherboard to check if I can get an image on the rights side of the tv, but it keeps rebooting.
Can anyone suggest what I can test and do to get it working again please?...

          SAMSUNG UE55TU7002KXXH rebooting

Hello everyone, I'm working on a Samsung TV that constantly rebooting.

          MB/PSU unit: BN9654185QE

It loads up to the main menu then as soon as the backlight goes brighter it reboots.

First I suspected the LCD panel, so a disconnected the LCD display from the mainboard but did the same thing.

Then I removed the backlight connector which only delayed the bootloop by a minute maybe, I know it because I test it with the remote, it does gives the menu sounds a bit longer.

Also I have to note, that the MB/PSU combo gives out a very noticible...

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)
          by valvashon
The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...

Asus 2021 ROG Strix G17 G713 not powering on and not charging.
          by DarKHawK
          Hi,

I have an Asus 2021 ROG Strix G17 G713 that is not powering on and not charging. Board number is G533-6050A3250201.
When plugged in, I found that the 3.3v/5v regulator was getting extremely hot, so I removed, next I found a short on the 3.3V rail. Removed the two 3.3v mosfets and found one of them shorted, but still the short on the rail did not clear. Then I injected voltage at that rail, and found out that U60400 the 2.5v rail was also getting hot. Removing it changed the short from 0 ohms to about 5-6 ohms, then I remove a bunch of other suspect components but that did...
