    Samsung HP-T5054, Totally black screen

This guy got this one from his mother-in-law.

The story: It was working until someone dropped it, after which it would
show vertical lines over black. The guy didn't even have a
DMM, but tried to replace the fuses without testing them, after which
the screen is now totally black. Audio he was less sure about.

Here you can read that some people fixed this by replacing
two buffer boards, and usually the Y-sustain too:

The guy said if I don't call him back in a week, he'd probably
    put it in the dumpster.

Based on the fact that his "repair" made the tv worse, and
because replacing 3 boards is pricey, I'm inclined to let
him throw this one away.......plus, 50" is likely too big
    for my Honda Accord!!!

If he dropped it he probably cracked the panel.

The gas might not have leaked immediately so the other damaged boards could show symptoms.

      Yeah, good point.

But even if the panel is still good, it sounds like another
expensive, at least 2-3 board replacement job.

Probably gonna pass on this one, unless he wants to
      drop it off for free......

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
        by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)
        by HTR-Informatique
        Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

A1312 (27” iMac 2009-2011) A1407 (Thunderbolt Display) A1316 (Cinema Display) Display Black Screen Repair
        by howardc64
        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

        Samsung UE50KU6070 black screen
        by totof
        Hello,
I have my TV model UE50KU6070 which I am trying to repair.
        BN41-02528A / BN94-10800C motherboard.
If I disconnect the motherboard from the power board, the backlight works. When the motherboard is connected the backlight works but the screen remains black.
When I plug the TV into the electrical outlet, the standby LED lights up but no reaction to an attempt to start it with the remote control for about 1 minute. During this minute the TV consumes about 20W.
After one minute the consumption drops to 0W and the TV can turn on with the remote control but...
