    Dell 2300MP

I decided to create new thread, separate from my original thread about Hitachi projector.

This Dell 2300 MP was dropped during its cooling cycle after i finished using it. Now when I try to turn it on, the temp and lamp indicator lights stay lit while fans keep spinning.

I was told that the lamp may be bad. I decided to take out the lamp from its housing and connect it to a different projector. When I did that, the projector turned on and the home screen appeared. For obvious reasons I did not have the cover closed so after few seconds of home screen display, the lamp and temp indicator lights come on. The projector continues to work though.

Now going back to dell. Since the lamp is working in different projector, could there be something else that broke when the Dell hit the floor? I should also mention when I take out the lamp and try to turn on the projector (while hold down the little cover switch) I still get the same two lights as you can see on the picture.

I posted pix of hitachi power supply unit in my other thread.
    Thanks for your help!

I would check for any broken solder joints or loose connectors, especially ones relating to a temperature sensor or lamp detection.

I was trying to search the web for technical drawings/repair manual for this projector since I do not even know where the sensors are located. I was not able to find anything besides the user manual Do you know of any websites that may have something like that?
