32 inch lcd model. powers on good. picture is ok. sound is no more. when i first got this item the sound was haywire. it would work for a bit then i would get a hi pitch squeal. i would have to shut it off then turn back on then the cycle would repeat itself. now there is no more sound. tried external speakers thru the audio out port and nothing there either. any suggestions. pics attached please advise if any further info is required. thanks.

A picture showing the interconnections would be useful. As it is, I can only guess which of two sections are for audio.

That looks like the audio amp is in the upper right corner of the signal board. Is there a part number on that IC?

I'd check the power supply voltages, then replace all caps in the neighborhood.

From your explanation, you indicated that your also try using the AUDIO line out (RED/WHITE RCA jacks) and you still do not get the sound. The Audio line out signals ARE not generating from that APOGEE DIGITAL AUDIO PROCESSOR/POWER AMP IC by looking at the DATASHEET hook up diagram, may be I am wrong.
Please clarify, since I do not see any AUDIO LINE OUT RCA jacks in your pcitures.Never stop learning
