    philips 42pf7220a/37 plasma green lines

    Hello,
I have come to the experts here for some help. I have a philips plasma tv. The picture is awful. Shadows are green and red making the picture almost look animated. I hit the darn thing a couple of times, and walla! Perfect picture. Of course today it is back to the same old picture. Anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Buffer board, logic, y sus? Not very tv handy, so was wondering if this is something I might be able to fix? Thank you very much for any info.

Check your power supply voltages. The specifications should be printed on a sticker on the plasma panel. Be careful, there are high voltages present inside plasma TVs, over 200 volts on some models. I would guess that because percussive repair worked you have a bad solder joint in there, probably on the power supply.

If you can solder, it is probably an easy fix. If not, eBay has that board for about $75.

Thanks, I check the voltage out and see what I get. Now if there is a discrepancy with the voltage, I am not sure where to solder.

A picture is worth 1000 words. Take a nice large (2000x2000) picture of the top and bottom of the power supply if the voltages are out of spec. One of us should be able to find bad soldering.

            Philips 55PUS7303 LCD lines
            by rtstorm
Hello, I have this 55" Philips TV that suddenly has these vertical lines on the LCD panel. I have checked the T-con board and I noticed some caps have 40Ohm I don't know if this is normal. These caps have 1.2V on them. I mark them on the photo with a silver pen. The T-con board has 1.2V, 12V, 25V, etc. Does anyone have any idea what could it be?
i try to disconect one ribon cable and the problem is the same, one side is white other side have the lines (the same is in other way)

            T-con model: 55T32-C0L
            Main Board: 715G8579-M0F-B01-005T

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
            by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

            LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
            by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

            Then each time...
