Sanyo DP42849 black flash once, has sound

Hi

This Sanyo DP42849 will flash and shut down upon start... Still have sound.

No obvious bulging caps. Checked them all and they were good.

The big connector (CN2) have the 5 volt standby, the 12 volt as well as the 13 volt for audio.

The smaller connector (CN6) has the 5 volt standby, BLON is 2.44 volt and the BLDIM is 3.26 volt.

Just to see if this would change anything, I disconnected the BLDIM to see if the backlight would come and stay on... It did not.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but it is the only camera that I have...

The boards are as folllow;
Power is 14V4U20C41500
Main is N7AE

I rang the inverter transformer and it was inconclusive.

The new power / inverter module is pricey and is out of stock most everywhere..

If yours is a chassis P42849-01 then power/inverter board is available direct from Sanyo 800-877-5036 ext 1485. Which is your problem. They may also ask you for the tuner code.
