Black Lines across screen HP PL4260N

Im getting closer on getting my HP back up and running. I replaced the buffer board and the digital board only because i broke a clip while removing it..

it's close it's 100%, It fires up, looks good, sound is good but now i have these 4 or 5 black line that look like permanant lines going across the screen. They dont move or change in color..

Any thoughts would be helpful... Thanks!!!

You probably have 1 or more of the connectors down the left side of the panel (as viewed from the rear) that are misinstalled/cocked. Just disconnect and reconnect the connectors that are lined up with the regions affected. Be sure the connectors are fully inserted. These can sometimes be tricky to get them on right.

Most of these connectors have a plastic tab, usually brown or black, that flips up to release the flexible connector that goes into the panel. Flip the tab up, reseat the flat cable, and flip the tab back down.

NOTE: *** BE SURE TO UNPLUG TV BEFORE RESEATING THE CONNECTORS!!! *** THis board has some high voltages that can shock you if the set is on.

Randtek is right. I had the same problem with a Panasonic plasma, it was just loose Y connectors. The position on the screen approximately correlates to the connector that is misaligned or loose.
