    Sony Bravia KDL 52 XBR4 Vertical Bars

    Hey guys,

    My Sony Bravia KDL 52 XBR4 has been experiencing vertical bars going down the TV. There are 2 bars appx ~3 inches thick on the screen. One is pink and is usually opaque, and 3 inches to the left, there is a solid black bar that phases in and out.

    I have been told that it could either be a bad TCON board or a bad LCD Panel.

    I was told to flex the TV a little bit to see if it affects the bars to see if it is a bad lcd panel, but it didn't to anything .

    Could you guys help me out?

      Hello everyone,

      I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

      I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
      I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
      I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
      The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
      My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...

      Hello,

      i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :




      With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :




      I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

      Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?
