    Bush LCD37TV016HD Rant

I just fixed this TV. Two bad CapXon 1000u 10V (replaced with Panasonic FC) and one 1000u 35V (not yet replaced will do shortly.) Before, it would not power on - now it will power on fine with no issues.

The power supply is a pretty good layout, apart from a few things. One thing is the fact that several electrolytic capacitors have been placed under the heatsink. That will quickly kill the capacitors. That's bad, but anyway... After choosing a power supply with heatsinks pointing vertically, to allow for confection cooling, they then place the power supply in a cage, preventing proper ventilation!!

The power supply is full of CapXon, we all know about them...

Whoever OEM'd this for Bush were complete incompetent idiots.

Okay, I just fixed this TV completely. New 1000u/35V Chemicon KY.

Anyway, the design of this thing really takes the biscuit (to put it politely.) It turns out all the electronics slide out in a tray and a connector, much like a parallel LPT port, connects to the rest of the chassis.

The TV worked great for a while, but it began to give problems. It wasn't doing anything - I thought I had broken something. No, all I had done was disconnect the connector just slightly. I only discovered this after I pushed the tray in slightly, and the TV worked perfectly.

Assembled it and the connector is actually pushed in by the case itself. WTF???

    Now it works.

Another TV saved from the dump.

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
                  by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

Need help identifying an IC chip on a Bush DAB radio (BD-1801)
                  by tyler123456
                  Hi,

Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.

I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.

I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)

Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)

                  Anyone...

                  Bush WI-1810 Internet Radio
                  by Johnny.p
I recently bought an internet radio Bush WI-1810, it came with a power supply that when plugged in promptly damaged the radio. I discovered too late that the radio was 6v and the supplied adaptor was 12v. The radio still powers on but the wifi is not working. I have attached a few pictures- Image 2 showing the board with damaged component top right labelled U8. There are several other similar components like U9 (image 3) that I'm wondering could be a replacement.
U9 has a code on it S5EJI- I have searched several smd code sites and the nearest I can find is for a mark of S5E -listing shows...

KingWin ABT-650MM 650 Watt ATX PSU [PCB: SW8835REV:A]
                  by momaka
For today's thread, I have a KingWin ABT-650MM ATX PSU. Official web page with the PSU specs is still up and can be found here:
                  http://www.rmac.kingwin.com/products.../abt_650MM.asp

I just can't help it when I see a broken / for parts PSU on eBay that's listed for cheap and looks at least somewhat interesting. Well, OK, I won't lie – on the outside, this PSU looks anything but interesting. It's a plain gray box with colorful β€œspaghetti cables”.

What mostly drew me into buying it is its 2x PCI-E power connectors...

Bush LE50GY15M - Firmware needed, Please!
                  by razzer05
                  Hi,

I did a silly thing and tried to update the tv (Bush LE50GY15M) with a "allupgrade_6308rtbm.bin" off the internet with the same board name "T.MS6308.U701" and it now no longer works.

I have researched quite a bit since Fridays messup, I've gathered a bit of information and tried multiple "allupgrade_6308rtbm.bin" files off the internet to try and fix it.

The information I've come up with:

A possible clone of "SEIKI SE50UO01UK" with a Bush Logo

The board is as mentioned: "T.MS6308.U701"...
