Re: LG flashing red LED
The first step is to open up the back of the TV and post pictures of all of the boards inside, then we know what we are dealing with. Some problems like failed capacitors (bad caps) are obvious. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... -
by beetle1303Sharp TV flashing green light 2x per second at constant rate. Various reset methods do not have any effect on it. Search here and found flashing green 2x per second indicate bad power supply, which I am quite certain now.
I am seeking help with basic trouble shooting to find the short-circuit on the secondary side that I believe is the cause:
The main PD connector:

PD-2 (PNL12V) : 0.02V (fluctuating)
PD-3 (SGRN) : 0V
PD-4 (SGRN) : 0V
PD-5 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)

by Super360Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...
