    Ok, Thank you! In this case it did. I hope the same trick works again. I found a caps kit on Amazon for that board, hopefully it is low ESR as it didn't specify...I do know they are heat rated.

      My neighbor was throwing one of these out and I grabbed it after seeing this post. Upon speaking to him about it, it has this same issue currently and he stated that he had already sent it in once.
      After opening it up, I saw that the 2 suspect caps were replaced with Sanyo 1000uf/35v ones. They didn't even bother cleaning off the flux they used for the repair. I reflowed the two caps and cleaned them up really well to see if there would be a difference and unfortunately, no change.
      I am not getting any lights or any response from the unit, I am going to try to replace those two caps and see if that helps anything.
      It's nice to see that I am not the only one who really likes tinkering.

          My Polaroid FLM373B now has no indicator lights whatsoever , I was wondering if you resolved you issue to see how to proceed with mine .
