    Dell W3706MC - P/S or Video Controller

So far, not so good. The television is a Dell W3706MC who's image is beyond snowy/noisy.

    Symptoms:
    - After being unplugged for several hours, it takes a very long time to turn on
    - Once on, it will random turn off after a short period of time... usually takes 2 or 3 times of turning off and on for it to finally be on and stay on
    - screen image (no matter the source- including menus) is degraded
    - upon first displaying an image/menu, it is somewhat readable but after a half second it becomes significantly worse ... change image/menu again, it is somewhat readable then becomes worse again after a half second ....etc.

Maybe a bad power supply? Maybe a bad main controller? I really did look over all the caps and see no sign of any visually bad ones. Anyone have any insight into these symptoms? My first guess was controller board but the hard time starting up and random turning off for the first couple times makes me thing power related. Hopefully it's a P/S issue because for the life of me I can not find a replacement controller module for this silly thing! Appreciated!

Can you post clear focused top down view pictures of all your boards including an "overall" one?

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
