    Hisense main board surrogate evaluation

    Hi,

I am yet another unfortunate owner of a 65H6570F with a main board that failed due to an inherent flaw with the eMMC.

    Reference: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=117406

The exact replacement board for a 65H6570 model TV is RSAG7.820.8831/ROH (aka 265223, aka 244991). It is very rare or expensive ($150+) to purchase currently and arguably not worth it if they're all just ticking time bombs.

A very similar board was identified in the above referenced thread, RSAG7.820.10315/ROH. It is more reliable, cheap, plentiful, and used in the 65R6G which is only one year older and has almost identical panel specs. The OP suggested strong component and pinout similarity here. I am not concerned about wifi board incompatibility.

I understand that there are some risks involved with attempting to use a different main board (see: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52538). The outstanding concern being T-CON compatibility.

I would like to openly ask in a new discussion to all seasoned veterans of this forum if they believe there is any chance for compatibility and what risks from incompatibility might exist in this specific case? I'd prefer to not start an electrical fire, but am not concerned with potential damage to the TV. If someone with relevant experience could tell me if it is worth a shot to try the swap, I would be glad to report back with results. Thanks!

hi yes, I also researched this option but I did find a RSAG7.820.8831 at reasonable cost so chose that.

I vaguely remember the few pair of pixel signal wires are on different lines on the tcon-LCD connector so at a minimum, these would need to be physically cut and rerouted. The smart TV os is different as well (Andriod vs Roku) so I think chance of working is quite low.

I recall TVpartstoday had a board available every few weeks when I was looking but it will sell very quickly. So I registered my email on availability and was able to purchase one this way.
