    17IPS62 recurring failures

    Turned off completely
    1 Check D7, D8 and D9 on the power supply (17IPS62).

Note: It is preferable to replace all 3 diodes together.

    2 replace Q13 (MMD70R600P = 700V/7.3A FET), U1 (1Q001 = FAN6300AM), R59, R60, R61, R62 and R63 (all 5 from 1R2), and R77 and R79 (both from 10R) on the primary.

3 MOSFET Q4 is shorted and C113 has lost capacitance. Mount Q14 (may also be referred to as just Q4; 12N50E) at the top of the PSU, and replace C113 (47uF/160V). Also check all the components on the power supply.

The 12V power supply measures approximately 6-9V. R74 is dispersed on the board.
Disconnect the resistor in SMD R74 (20K) next to the 431, remove the glue residues from the board and re-solder the resistor.

Replace C113 (47uF/160V) in the upper left corner of the power supply

The voltage that powers the LED bars measures 62V (whereas it should be around 82V). Replace C54 (560uF/35V)

    Re: 17IPS62 recurring failures

Would you know which component to remove to disable the inverter on a 17ips16-4 a similar later board. I have just fitted an LED backlight conversion kit as the CCFL tubes were spent and had blackened ends.
