sony kdl-40v2500 no picture

my sony bravia 40" has no picture. it turns on, green light power stays on, no flashing code that i can see, just solid green. sound still works, and i can change the channel and hear it in "the background". i blindly switched video inputs to a known live feed, and heard and paused its playback, confirming that everything else but the video screen is working on my tv. where do i start? ive been searching this forum, and found a thread where replacing the t-conn worked for him, but in the same thread, a visitor mentioned it didn't work. how do i start this project?

Well other than researching the threads as you did.... maybe taking a look inside and posting picture of the boards.
