Re: Sil9187 Replacement
The following multiplexers can be used:
• Sil9187A (does not support “Instaport” technology for fast
switching between input signals)
• Sil9287B (supports “Instaport” technology for fast
switching between input signals).
The hardware default I2C addresses are:
• Sil9187A: 0xB0/0xB2 (random: software workaround)
• Sil9287B: 0xB2 (fixed)

by tuner2000ihello everyone,
I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.
The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

by RauniHello, this is my first post on this forum, and my first attempted to repair a TV.
My Philips 58PUS7805/12 stopped working recently. It is not that old, about 5 years. We were on a trip for a few days and when we came back, it had stopped working out of a blue (Perhaps our house was hit by a lightning strike? Don't know.)
Read from a guide that I should test if the screen shows picture with one of the T-Con cables disconnected. Did that, it showed perfect picture (first on left, later on right side).
Read also that we should test what happens if we... -
by PulkaHello everyone!
This is my first post, but not my first attempt to repair a TV.
So a few days ago I got this Philips TV (TPM4.1E LA), which produced weird symptoms.
There were no 12 and 24V, which was caused by a shorted schottky. I replaced that, the voltages are alright everywhere, but it still refused to turn on or even produce a standby light.
Thats when I removed the cover lid from the U4201, turns out that it badly burnt through, thanks to that replaced diode. It's an MTK MT8222TMMU, and I already found a replacement for it. However in the service... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM -
by G33RTPhilips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.
Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ? - Loading...
