    Philips 70PUS6504 without picture

Need some advice where to look/check for the issue...

Got hold of a Philips 70PUS6504/12 that shows no picture....actually there's no backlight....
It actually turns on and I even managed to 'blindly' get to the promotional video in the menu....so when the video starts I can hear the music and can change the volume level....
Based on this I assume that the issue should be somewhere with the backlight (or the power supply for the BL). Tested the PSU with only the BL connected and the BL didn't turn-on.
If I test the voltage on the BL connector of the PSU I get only an initial spike of the voltage and then it slowly decreases (discharge of the capacitors).

Anyone with ideas where to look for the fault?

    Thanks!

Backlight led(s) are likely bad, the power supply backlight voltage will shut down when a backlight led fault is detected, either under/over current or over voltage can shut it down.

Thanks! Have disassembled the TV and have found 3 LED strips with burnt LEDs on them.....1 per strip....

Will try to get some new strips for this model....

OK, managed to replace the burned LEDs and got the BL working...

But...with the BL working I was able to finally test the picture quality (panel)....and noticed a thick black vertical strip in the middle of the screen and a couple of vertical green lines......not to mention a portion of the panel at the bottom (beside the black strip) that looks like pixels are not working in this area...Is the panel gone or an issue that can be repaired (T-con board, etc....)?

It looks like the panel is damaged, looking at picture three, it almost looks like liquid damage that started to wick up between the lcd.

Thank you for reply. Indeed that is what i taught but these dots are seem to be different places. On one screen they are solid, change picture they move to other place. And lined that show up as well sometimes there is more sometimes less. I think its a panel myself but just wanted to confirm before i scrap it.
