Hello everyone,
I have this 55" LG 55LF652V-ZA smart TV which suddenly started flashing intermittently every 2 seconds with the backlight.
If I aimed the light bulb of my cell phone I could see the underlying image even in those fractions of time when the LEDs were off and the audio instead came out continuously.
Armed with a lot of space and patience, I decided to open the TV, immediately noticing that a LED had flamed out and also burned a portion of that reflective white panel behind the transparent LED diffusers.
Considering the damage, I've reordered the entire set of LG INNOTEK DRT 3.0 55" LED strips and in the meantime I proceeded to cut the burnt part of the panel and then applied an opaque white "patch".
The led strips arrived, I put everything back together and surprise of surprises the defect is still present !!
But that's not all, currently of the 5 rows of 2 bars each, only the first 2 rows (4 LED bars) flash while the 3 underlying rows (formed by another 6 LED bars) remain off.
Obviously the burnt led resided right in the central strip of the 3 bars which now do not light up .... and therefore I fear that the fact that it is burnt may depend on or even have damaged something on the power supply board.
With a bench power supply I tested all the new LED bars purchased and they all work perfectly (and while I was there I also tested the old ones, throwing away the ones with burnt LEDs and keeping the still good ones for any other bad luck).
Before buying a new eax66203101 (1.7) power supply board, which will cost around 60 euros used (in addition to the 70 euros of led bars and the time taken to make the patch which certainly won't give an impeccable result) do you have any advice for me on checks to be performed / measurements / replacement of components for the defect indicated on that power supply board?
Or do you have advice on where to find a similar LGP4760RI - 15ch2 card at an affordable price and with a minimum guarantee or return option?
Thank you all in advance and sorry for my bad english
