    Service Menu Programming

    Hello

I have a Vizio V585-H11 that I replaced the Main and Tcon board and now it's giving me a swapped image. I can get into the service menu and change the panel but it doesn't seem to have any affect on the TV. However, I'm hesitant to try every option because I don't want to set it to something that doesn't display anything and not be able to change it back. Is it possible I got the wrong TCON/Main board version and that's why the picture looks like this?

usually yes that's the case. however, had a dead main on arrival and swapped that only to find out that there was still no picture. after that i disconnected one of the panel ribbons and got a white screen on one side and picture on the other. did the other side and the white screen swapped as I expected but there was static on the other side so I decided to swap the tcon as well. I'll upload pics of original tcon and new one momentarily.

so now with this placement t-con you need to disconnected the ribbon on this side where it before show static. of course it will be white but we need to know if you have clear image on the other half.

in case when you reserve and there was static picture the issue at panel... but if it was clear picture then you can swap or dump / write the U8603 on MB i think its 25Q xxx spi... if my eyes correct then all setting are saved on it. but be sure its not the one dead on original MB

You were right. the main board didn't need to be replaced. put the old one in and it displayed the correct picture. thanks dude!
