Samsung pn59d530a3f no picture after power supply replacement

My samsung plasma pn59d530a3f recently had a loud pop and stopped working. after opening it up, I found a blown resistor and capacitor on the power supply board. The circuit board was damaged where the resistor connects so I opted to buy a replacement board.

after installing the replacement power supply, the tv powers up but has no picture. The electronics store I bought the power supply from said the next likely culprit could be the Y Main board.

Is there a way to test the Y Main board before just buying a replacement? Or if there are other areas I should check?

    any help would be appreciated.

Go ahead and test the components on that y sus, the transistors on the heatsinks short out quite a bit, you can test them in circuit, best to check all the components that you can, youtube is your friend for how to videos, one of many many there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Jf79Qv4PM

Can you post a good picture of the area of the original powerboard with the damage.

You will need to test the buffer boards and the other sus board too, to be thorough, again youtube for tutes.

That youtube link, and several of his other videos were very helpful in learning how to diagnose these parts, thank you.

I am currently trying to remove the y main board. It feels like it is glued to the back of the TV. I didnt want to just pry it off in fear of breaking it. Is this normal? Should I just use some force to pry it off?

not glue, thermal pads, very thick and wide ones, so remove all connections before you pry it off or it may rip some cable.
just be patient, you will hear the peeling off as you pull on it, and it should come without flying off the tv.

I was able to get it off. Several adhesive strips below it.

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                  by TR103
                  Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                  - sound and backlight, but no picture
                  - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                  - it keeps rebooting
                  - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                  - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                  by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                  Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

                  by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...
