After 3-4 minute - the display will be perfect, regardless of the settings.Leave a comment:

Ok, I bet it's similar to this 60X690E, if so it's tougher than most to get to those boards, being that you can't easily lay it down, might want to try all other troubleshooting before tackling that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr42F0JYq38Leave a comment:

Re: Sony KD-65X7000E - Screen double images for first few minutes then back to normal
Although if you could get it down that far it would be easy to apply a little pressure around the tab bonds and see if the picture clears up, of course while testing all the boards need to be connected.Leave a comment:

something to try, go into menu and try turning backlights very low, if no backlight adjustment try turning the brightness down, see if the double image changes any.Leave a comment:

Doesn't seem like there would be much difference, best way is to look up both datasheets and compare.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony KD-65X7000E - Screen double images for first few minutes then back to normal
Just want to be sure this is not a potential root cause:
The shorted D751 was a SB5150 - a 5A 150v diode, and was replaced with a 6A 200v diode unknow brand from local hardware shop.
Would this caused the symptoms observed?Leave a comment:
