should probably do some voltage checking before removing anything.

I will certainly do that once I get home, thank you!

One thing, it appears that the pcb has a heating shield on it which has thermal paste on. The reason why I am mentioning this is because there are more capacitors under the heating shield but I am not sure if I should take that apart.

My theory is that while he was checking the tv, the tech has "played" with the ribbon cables that connects the bottom lvds stripe and that's why the next morning he announced me that the screen is blue. I've only found out later that these can cause problems by not connecting them back properly, so there's too late to complain about it now.

Re: Samsung tv pcb board cap

I have tested with the multimeter for continuity (beep) and also tested by setting it on 20k ohms and some of them are charging while some are not showing any value.

Samsung UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 tv pcb board cap

    Hi all,
The problem on my Samsung TV Model: UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 is more likely to be a bad capacitor (smd?) On the pcb board. The local tech has recommended to buy a second hand pcb but he isn't sure if this will eventually sort the issue. I have a blue screen with sound working.
Is there any way I can check the capacitors myself before taking the risk and buying the pcb that might not work?
There is a picture of the board. Thanks alot!

  • Samsung 65" UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 TV Blue screen

    Hi.
I have the Samsung TV Model: UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 which has developed the following issue: blue screen while the sound it's still working. This happened after the screen developed some horizontal lines at first and then the next day suddenly turned into blue background. the screen was not damaged or anything. I can't access the menu. I have taken the tv to a local tech to have a look and he said that he thinks that it might be the pcb board as the back-lights are working and the sound aswell . I was hoping maybe you can guide me if I should buy the pcb board or not? Thanks
Working...
