Judy doing some research on whether anyone's ever been able to resolve this. Seen quite a few examples and most have just gone eh guess it's dead, but surely there's something we can try?
For instance, I'm working on a 2020 now with this error. Logiwiki says error 75 occurs when the system is in recovery mode but when I connect it to apple configurator it does show up as DFU so that doesn't seem right. Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

I need to remove BIOS Password.
I made a dump with an CHA341A programmer and NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10.
Attached my dump.
I also used the HP Unlocker tool to create an unlocked file (I followed the guidelines)
I also downloaded latest HP BIOS Update (SP158137) which includes 3 .bin files. I found the Number T76 in my original dump, so I used: T76_01210000.bin

I have a 2014 vintage Philips 60PFL8708S/12 that suddenly died in the middle of the kids watching a show.

The TV no longer powers on, and leaving it powered on for a few minutes results in the layer-1 error with 2 blinks.
When I short the SDM to ground I get the layer-2 error code 53.
The inside of the TV has no damaged components and no swollen capacitors.
