    Hawking 3 port print server

Found several in a box no PS with them so ordered new from DigiKey.
None work correctly some power up but can not see them on the network and can not connect with the Hawking setup software.

Does anyone have any experience repairing?

I am going to do a complete recap on two of the ones that light up.

    Will post followups.

Monitor network traffic from (and to) the device shortly after powerup to see if it is looking for a DHCP lease, BOOTP, TFTP access, etc.

If there are indicator LEDs on the NIC connector, see if they "wink" at all.

If they're wireless devices, then you'll have to snoop the wireless traffic, instead.

please help, friend, thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 JDOCK1 type C port 5volt only, thank you
      by fredyjbi
      I have a thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 laptop functioning normally with Type 1 port (JUSBC1)
if you use port type C 2 (JDOCK1) with a usb type meter it only displays 5v, thank you
I tried to look at the schematic diagram USBC_VBUS20, which is the port path from JusBC 1 to U4701 then goes to the system2 charging IC, why is there no system2 path leading to the charging IC on the TYPEC_VBUS20 port which is JDOCK1, thank you for your help.

if you look at the power sequence there must be 2 types of port type C a (JUSBC1) via U4701 and port type C b (JDOCK1)
      On the type...

Troubleshooting of redundant F750E-S0 Dell PowerEdge Server
      by omega
      Hello all,
as a beginner electronics hobbyist, after a few years I would like to place another post on this Forum section, given that I did not succeed in finding any useful advice among the other posts.

Over the last years, I have been using a PowerEdge Dell Server with two redundant PSUs, namely the 750W F750E-S0 ones (aka 06W2PW). Unfortunately, last summer one of them failed (perhaps owing to an overheating), and the server had for working to take into account the other one only. Of course I opened and tried to troubleshoot the failed PSU, but each cap I tested seemed to...

ASUS proart Studiobook h7600ZW; Had DC in port replaced and all the sudden it isn't charging but is the charging sign is on!
      by Scarfycake
      Hi all,

I sent my ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7600, 12th Gen Intel) to the local repair guys to have a very simple DC in port replaced. I sourced the part myself on accessoires-asus (french company) after struggling to find the right part in the UK. It looked completely the same to the installed part from what I can tell. Originally the only issue with the laptop was a bad / loose DC connection, and so the computer and battery acted completely normal aside from a very poor connection that would fail at certain angles. After the repair was completed I brought it home and used it for...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
      by rounin
      Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

      🛠 Original Issue
      The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Dell Latitude 7410. The USB Type-C port is not working
      by eliemgh
I have a Dell Latitude 7410 with an Intel i7 10th Gen CPU. The USB Type-C port is not working, and since it's the only charging port on the device, I'm unable to charge the laptop.

I inspected the motherboard and found that the IC labeled TPS65988 had a short circuit. I ordered a replacement IC from Alibaba and replaced it. The short issue is now resolved, but the laptop still doesn't charge, and the Type-C port remains non-functional.

After doing some research, I found out that the TPS65988 needs to be programmed after replacement in order to function properly.
