    TDK VYK3637 SMPS Power Supply

    Hi
I've got a couple of these that need some attention.
One powers up the machine but cuts out after a while.
The other one doesn't power up at all.
I'm sure it's only a couple of components causing it ,hopefully.
I've recapped both of them. One worked after ,the other one didn't. I want to keep the repairs cheap as I'm trying to sell the machines they go into.
Would anyone be able to give me a rough estimate on the cost.
    Im in the london area.
Anyone have any recommendations for repairs in the the area.
Ive contacted a couple already just waiting for a reply.
Any experts on the machines they go into would be welcome too.
    They are Panasonic M11 AU62 and AU65.
    Thanks

Please post a picture of both sides of the circuit board in question we might be able to help you figure out what could be going on with it

          Thanks I'll change that.
What I really need is a tech to look them over and test them.
See what's going on with them.
          Cheers.

                  Hi it's more Willesden.
I can't do much at the moment. I just wanted to find out if anyone could test them ,check them out. I doubt it's something major. Hoping it weren't too much to fix and that kind of thing.
                  Cheers.

                        Hi again.
I sold one of the MII machines. Buyer wanted to repair it himself.
I’m left with the one that doesn’t power up at all.
                        Cheers

I pulled 2 rectifiers (B92M) out so far to test them ,and got an extra reading on one of them. Any ideas.?
                          Thanks

I removed another B92M and got the extra reading on that one too.

Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is

Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the...

                                by sam_sam_sam
When I originally started with my DVR recorder it had 4 individual switching switching power supply’s that were sh*t so I bought a 7 amp 12 volt switching power supply and modified the output plug and put a four output power supply cable to match the input power supply cable inputs

Which worked for over 14 years until a few days ago when the cameras went dark no picture anymore well it turns out now the switching power supply has stopped working altogether now so I have to troubleshoot what has happened to this power supply more later on today what I found

                                Hello,

I'm hoping to get some help figuring out how to troubleshoot this power supply board. The television is a Samsung UN75J6300AFXZA, version no. UH03. The power supply board has two model numbers on it, L75S1 and BN44-00723C. As far as experience level, I'm familiar with recapping boards in terms of safely going through the soldering motions, choosing suitable replacement parts, and so forth, but as far as understanding the various functions of each part of these TV power supply boards, I am a rank beginner.

When I plug the TV in, the screen flashes on and off and...

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?

                                FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

                                Can Ammeter damage Power Supply?
                                by caspian
                                Dear Members,

My DC linear Lab Power Supply does not display the current and voltage correctly. Thus, I am going to connect an Ammeter/Voltmeter Module to the DC output of the power supply. Then, a load will be connected the takes about 1-5volts with 0.1-1.5Amps.
But I heard If I connect an Ammeter to the output of the power supply, then the Ammeter module is not isolated from the power supply so that the Ammeter can damage the power supply.
                                Is this true?

                                Thanks

I have attached the photo of a sample Ammeter module that I am going to buy....
