Recommendatiion for reliable PSU w/ 80mm fan

So, as of late, I've been using the SeaSonic S12II for replacing power supplies. It's cheap, and has KZE everywhere.

Well, I have an interesting computer in the shop. It's got an Allied PSU with lots of blown capacitors. The S12II won't work in this case, as there is a air duct for the CPU that will block at least 3/4 of the 120mm fan.

Does anybody know of a PSU with a rear-mounted 80mm fan and reliable capacitors? I've done some looking, but seem to come up empty here. All the consistently reliable ones seem to have 120mm fans on the bottom of the PSU.

As always, I appreciate any knowledge you're able to share.

if that's a dell with a green duct then check that the old psu is actually wired to atx standards - dell have a habit of changing stuff!

If it had a allied psu in it, it is standard ATX. Allied never made psu's for dell. Check out lower end seasonic as well as pc power and cooling. PC P&C have a hatred for 120mm fans (even though they are coming out with a 120mm fan model with modular connectors,) and PC P&C units are mostly seasonic.

Something like that should do fine.

Help: Looking for guru input on upgrading an S12II-based PSU
        by em132
The supply in question is an unused/"NOS" Antec EA-500 "80-Plus" (not the "Bronze") with Seasonic's early "500W" S12II board. While I don't yet have this supply in hand, I fully expect it to be filled with OST RLS and RLX. I plan to replace these with FR/FS Panos (mostly).

Of course, I also plan on replacing the big kahuna on the primary side. To that end, I'm currently holding a pageant to determine who'll wear the tiara. Here are the four finalists:

Flipping 120mm fan in ATX PSU?
        by shovenose
I'm curious if anyone has any input on how bad it is for the power supply to flip the fan? My secondary system that I honestly rarely use has a 500W CWT 80Plus Bronze PSU that came out of some low-mid range prebuilt desktop at some point.

Anyway, I replaced the stock Yate Loon 120mm fan for a Cooler Master RGB fan, but I decided to install it backwards so that it pushes air the same direction as the GPU fans right above it, as I have the PSU installed with the fan facing up. The GPU I'm going to end up putting in here is an XFX RX 6600 8GB, so it's not a super power intensive card....

Spare Parts + eBay's Finest = Worst Gaming PC of 2021?
        by shovenose
Alright folks, today I present my latest "build", consisting of mostly spare parts with a few things off eBay.

        Parts List and Pricing

CPU: 3/0GHz 4C/4T Intel Core i5-7400. Nothing exciting here, got it off eBay for $80.

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4-2400. Had it floating around. Free.

Motherboard: Gigabyte B250M-Gaming 3. Because I had it floating around and the model number contains gaming so it must be better, right? Free.

Storage: 240GB WD Easystore SSD. As far as I know, it's just the Best Buy rebadge of...

        Completely dead BaoDiKai 120MM fan
        by Pentium4
So this was running in a computer for a while, working fine. I went to do my every-other-day check to make sure fans are spinning, no clicking hard drives, etc. of all my computers running. I noticed that there was no fan exhaust on this machine. I shined a flashlight to see that the fan was not spinning. I thought that maybe it seized but thought that was strange because I always oil fans after I recap power supplies.

I thought that maybe it was the PSU but I pulled it and plugged it straight into the molex of another PSU. I tried 5V and 12V, nothing. No tick, it doesn't even try....

        Reliable BGA chip supplier?
        by Spider1211
Hey guys, not sure if this is the right forum, but does anyone have a reliable source for BGA chips such as PCH, south bridge, etc? Tried different sellers on Aliexpress but its more of a "1 out of 3 faulty chip" experience with them.

I remember reading a thread on this topic here but I can't seem to find it anymore.
