    Computer Power Supply: ST P3NB80FP

My power supply just went dead. Opened it and found a dead transistor marked ST P3NB80FP. I am having a hard time finding it locally, I would like to know what alternative I can use?

Is there any chance of posting a photo or two? We might be able to figure out what role it had, and recommend some replacement.

Another 800V, 90W, 2.6A, 4.6 RDSon N-MOSFET, such as something ripped from the high voltage section of a junked PSU, possibly with a part number of the form 2SKxxxx or Kxxxx? How about old junked Antec SmartPower or SolutionSeries PSUs?

the on resistance of that fet is total junk,
a lower on-resistance is better because it will generate less heat.

From information given, I am having a hard time determining what brand and model power supply this is, and how many watts it is supposed to be. The 800 volt rating on the transistor makes me think it is not the 5vsb switching transistor, but the 3 amp rating makes me think it is not the main switching transistor. The only thing for sure is ..... the power supply is dead.
