    Cyberpower BNT-600AP UPS

    Hello everybody.
    I have very interesting issue. Six months ago I have replaced battery in Cyberpower BNT-600AP UPS and everything was working OK. Few days ago i noticed that UPS won't hold when is switched to battery mode.
    What I was noticed that I have open device is that C18 was bad. I have replace it, but i still have same issue..

    I have tested battery, and it is OK. I have used another one with same result. IN the end i used DC power, and with 12V i have exact same behavior as with battery. When i change voltage to 13V, UPS can hold low power device (up to 5W)..

    My understanding is that problem can be related to part who is responsible for checking of battery state.. I'm thinking to replace also LM324N and LM317.

    Did somebody had similar issue? Any opinions about this situation? Thank you..

      Are you sure that you do not have problems with the micro controller ic chip because the chip you are referring is connected to and it looks like this micro controller ic chip controls the charging function

      I am not sure how you can check and see if the micro controller ic chip is working correctly

      Me personally I do not know if I would spend much time trying to fix it

          Do you have the rest of the schematic?
          Without battery connected, what DC Voltage do you have on the Red and Black wires when you plug UPS into the AC outlet?
          Fuse F1 is good?
          What is connected to connector CN2-4, CN2-5?
          Q21 is connected strangely.

          Be careful not to touch the conductors when making the measurement since the charger circuit may not be isolated type.

              1. No. That is all that i have. Except transformer everything else is at schematic.
              2. I have to double-check, but i think that i had 13.7V
              3. Yes. Tested.
              4. I have to check.
              5. Please can you explain in your opinion why is strangely connected?

                  I'm not sure that micro-controller is not issue. At this point i think that reading of battery level are wrong.
                  I ordered few components that are in my opinion problematic, and i will check.

                      Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

                      Tests already made:
                      - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.

                      My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

                      Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

                      My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
                      The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

                      Hi everyone,

                      I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

                      Hi, so the old battery was getting error stated it's capacity is starting too get low and should be replaced, so the customer bought a new one and replaced it, but the new battery was also getting this notice that it's capacity is getting low and should be replaced, so i took the laptop for testing and the battery is charging at the terminal at 8.03V , the voltage of the battery is 7.7V, and drawing around 600mA when charger is put and the laptop is off...so that should be ok... but the bios system test doesn't recognize the battery and can't do the battery test and so is the hp battery manager,...
