Allen-Bradley 1747-L30C Series C FRN 6 SLC 500 Processor Unit
About two weeks ago this PLC gave some problems turning on but I was able to get it to turn on
Then yesterday it would not turn on at all so I took it apart and found that it has a switching regulator ic chip ( MA-1050 ) which I found some I bought 2 of them
I have bought from this seller a few times before
https://www.ebay.com/itm/MA1050-Orig...53.m2749.l2649
Going to recap this power board and change the optic sensor because it looks like it has been running warm it is yellow looking which may or may not mean anything the part number is
( P521 ) which I ordered a couple of them
https://www.ebay.com/itm/TLP521-1-Or...53.m2749.l2649
I will see if I can bring it back to life or not or one of the ones that I bought on EBay
I also bought a few of them off of EBAY I did not pay no more than $50.00 or is some cases less than $25.00 each the listing says that at least they power on
The manufacturer of the machine wants $6000.00 ( plus installation ) for a up graded PLC that the tech support person that I have been dealing with him for years says to me this is not something you want to do your self because it might not be just plug and play some of the programming might need to be tweaked a little bit and you would have to have the programming hardware
This power supply board has two 24 volt rail and one 5 volt rail
I have one comment about the plastic cover for this PLC is the shit-est I have seen in a long time it is just breaking apart with very little force applied to it
manufacturing data 2008
