hipro out of a compaq presario 5000

is this thing worth a recap? it is filled with g-luxons, none bulged. nidec fan. it works okbut i am still concerned. it has larger heatsinks.

in fact, it is the same model as this one

is it worth the effort? it does have a temp. controlled fan, btw.

Yeah, Hipros are good except for the crap caps - earlier Arcon and Asiacon, now G-Luxon. It will be fine after a recap.

same thing on ebay.de (with crappy google translation)

Seasonics are excellent, they make the antec true power new series. I have a tp550, very heavy and powerful.

Seasonic are very good power supplies, I have an Antec Earthwatts 380W power supply (made by Seasonic) in my budget gaming PC (check my signature) and for over a year it has been excellent, it has never had one single problem. It's very heavy and feels sturdy.
