    Ampower K02P133.01 TV Power Supply With Crispy Diodes and Mosfet

    So i got this power supply from a Samsung TV i'm fixing and it appears the issue with it is the power supply due to it having at least 5 blown parts (maybe more) and a few blown PCB traces.
    Here is the list of all of the blown parts PCB numbers...
    QI831 (unknown)
    DI819 (ER206)
    DI821 (need to check)
    R839 (SMD) (unknown)
    Q826 (SMD) (unknown)

    Q1832 might also be blown, it's part number is K3115
    I also posted photos of the damage so people can tell me if it's worth fixing.

      To me it might not be if this board has multiple layers and has burn the trace apart
      This is the big unknown

      Here is what I would do is to clean the burn up parts of this board and see how badly it is burnt and how deep the damage is I would scrape the burnt spots unit you see the board color again and if you traces real deep in the board

      If you do see traces deep down in board I would not waste my time trying to repair this board

      This is my two cents worth on what I see in your photos

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

              One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

              What Zener Diodes on a Linear Power Supply

              Dear members,

              I have a linear variable power supply with unknown brand name that I used for voltage injection.
              Then it failed. I discovered that its transistors (Q1 and Q2) are shorted.
              In addition, I discovered that its zener diodes are defective.
              I can replace the burned transistors.
              But I do not know the model of the zener diodes. the model number is not marked on the zener diodes.
              Therefore, I cannot replace the zener diodes.
              I do not want to test the zener diodes in a test circuit to discover their model or value.

              I tried to use this method:

              Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

              Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
              Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
              Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

              Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
