Decent manufacturers got rid of it years ago, some by their own (Seasonic), some because it was killing them too (Enermax, who now manufactures in CWT fab; newer actually met CWT unit with this shit).

      Another update
Some of the parts has already arrived but while the Viper gets here. I have thoughts about the epoxy. I have loctite heavy duty epoxy but it does not work because it holds up 120 degrees Fahrenheit and not 94v - 0.
Looking at possible alternatives I found on Loctite has a hysol epoxy but it does not come in syringes it only comes in bulk. Master Bond also has epoxy for various uses but being unable to find who sells them and it does come in syringes, and the pigmentation is in dark colors not in off-White like the board.
Why do you guys suggest as an alternative epoxy or if I'm okay by using the one that I already have. I don't want it to catch on fire if there is anything wrong later on.

        Nice work cleaning that board

I have had to this type of cleaning on boards when the caps leak and fail
on servo board that I have repaired

I have clean them with flux remover and a dermal tool with a drill bit and use it like sand paper

I have not had use epoxy on the boards that I have repaired but on your board it like it is very thin in one spot on that board

I have not had to deal with that but what I have to deal with is the traces pealing off the board what can you use when this happens

You can use superglue too, it is not conductive. Just vaporizes when you solder it, very bad for eyes so be carefull. Also the cheap stuff hardens like plastic and could crack as it is not very flexible.

Fixing the Charge Circuit of the Batteries of the DC Motor
            by Astonished
            Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.

            Cyberpower 1500AVR UPS repair
            by quickname
I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

Like clockwork, I've had to replace the SLA batteries every 4 years. It was about that time and the UPS was acting like it needed new batteries... randomly shutting off with AC present, not being able to charge fully, and poor runtime when AC was removed. So, I replaced the batteries but noticed that it was not charging properly.

I decided to verify that the batteries were...

            Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
            by carrzkiss
            Hello, all.

            Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
            I quickly removed everything...

Laptop is stone dead and only reacts to the power button being held while the charger is plugged in, in which case a dim amber LED fades in and immediately fades out when I let go. Battery being plugged/unplugged does not change anything.
CMOS battery was removed and reinstalled; no change.
No shorts to ground have been identified on the board whilst probing the power rails in resistance mode. No visibly damaged components.
No indication that the CPU is receiving power; CPU fan does not activate.

troubleshooting microsoft surface pro 4 no power no led charge light
            by ipatch
hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...
