Is Delta DPS-400GBa PSU any good?

    I have a gateway fx7026 that has a 400W Delta DPS-400GBa PSU.

I've heard that this computer has a mobo that dies.
Its an intel mobo, so I want to know what the problem is.

Is this PSU to blame or is it ok.

Should I replace it or leave it?

i'm using a lot of delta electronics PSUs..
    depends on the caps used.
my deltas have only premium caps from factory (NCC and Rubycon)
but i've read here on the forum that they also used LTec (crapcaps) :/

my 465W delta (DPS-465AB) in my main PC used to power a Dual-Xeon Workstation (HP X4000).
    now its running with a Core 2 Duo @ 3GHz and a GF 8800GTS.
the caps in that psu are dated around 2001/2002. still going strong without any issues. (no flaky voltages or too much noise on the output)

The Delta is good so I'd leave it. My Deltas have Ltec caps, but i dunno, I've never seen the Ltec caps in there bulge or leak and my PSU is as stable as rock. I guess Ltec is OK in a PSU otherwise.

LTECs are used in Xbox 360 power bricks and those things get burning hot.

Based on that I'd say they are ok for PSU use as well.
