Had you done any opto and TL431 before ?Last edited by bianchi77; 01-02-2017, 05:53 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
I got 207V , RL = 2K and f = 13.14 KHz, it's less efficient but it does the job..
and abit noisy with low frequencyLeave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Okay, I only want to know how that coupler and TL431 work, is that the right circuit ? more or less ?Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Why exactly do you want / need opto feedback?
Compensating the TL431 is only gonna be one extra headache, which i don't think you really want, considering all the previous adventures...Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
How can I add TL 431 and optocoupler for feedback?

Read: Boost converter Operation/example.
You should get a generator to drive the MOSFET and vary the ON/OFF time to see the effect.Attached FilesLast edited by budm; 12-14-2016, 02:53 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Those designs are basically has the same way with 555...
currently I'm using 700uH hand made inductor but I can't increase voltage anymore, stack on 185V on 5K RL,
I'm not sure, I will get a better result with those chips but I will give a tryLast edited by bianchi77; 12-14-2016, 01:33 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
... And how is that so different about the circuit in post #105?
http://darkside.higashino.jp/resourc...se/chopper.gif
Wow, another PNP driving a FET.
The other two circuits, from post #49:

http://www.mikrocontroller.net/attac..._180V_25mA.png
The same basic topology. Coincidence?
PS: You can't have feedback without a resistive divider from the output, so... I'm not really sure where your question comes from, or what it's about.
You have at least THREE (now FOUR, with this last one you found) designs ready-made for you. What more do you want???Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
thanks for all the infos, this one is similar :

that's PNP transistor functioning as a follower for making FET switching fasterLeave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Is it possible only using 1 FET and resistor voltage divider for making MC34063 doing the step up ? if more than that, what's the different with 555, I got 220V with RL = 6K now..
my inductor is not perfect that's why the output is not good, a lot of flux loss
I have 8 inductors in series for 380 uH value.Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Page 17 in the ST datasheet shows what's called a "flyback converter" and it indeed uses a transformer (or, technically, a coupled inductor).
"too many informations and making the whole point complicated..."
So, you DON'T want EVERY step that's needed to create and calculate the circuit you need, shown and explained to you. But you "want to make something simple", by magic? Just wishing it into reality? Or do you expect any of us to present you with a ready-made circuit?
Or.. you're really too lazy to even look into / use ONE simple equation, to figure out two resistor values? Seriously?..Leave a comment:

Re: DC boost converter max power ?
Yes I don't understand MC34063 works, it's maximum 40V output and my target is 240V
ST datasheet page 17
and it's using transformer, making it more complicated, I want to make similar with 555...
I haven't read that yet...too many informations and making the whole point complicated...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by GLISITHi all,
TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!
I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!
A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about... -
by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board
Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that... -
by meraklinetxHello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
