I have a very old Soundcraft DCP100 PSU and suddenly it doesn't work, do you guys have user guide (user guides from Soundcraft contain schematics of their products) of it? I wanna repair it. Thx.

    Re: Soundcraft DCP100 PSU

Post some nice straight shot, high resolution pictures, so we can see something. Also describe exactly what is or is not happening, like blowing fuses, no output, wrong output etc. Some voltage rails working, others not, etc.
By looking at the PSU there should be 3 voltage rails. +15V, -15V and 48V phantom power.

I found a schematic for the Soundcraft 200b. That should give you a guide line on what to expect. It won't be the same, but it should be similar.

      Re: Soundcraft DCP100 PSU

As its a conventional linear supply with mains transformer, i would connect a multimeter in ohms mode across the live and neutral power input, you should see a resistance.

If not then check the power switch/voltage selector switch and input fuse.
If the voltage selector switch is in the wrong position the primary winding of the transformer could be toast :-(

        ME Firmware Cleaning Guide
        by SMDFlea
Here`s a quick ME Firmware cleaning guide.

The guide is basic, its main goal is to show you how to use intel FIT,its highly recommended that you all follow the guide posted at win-raid

(The attached FIT version is 11, if your ME Firmware (FW) is not 11.0.*.* follow the win-raid guide. Use the tools version for your ME FW, for example: ME System Tools v9.1 For systems running ME v9.0 - v9.1)

A video, software (intel FIT) and practice bios are all included. I`ll post a better video and more advanced guide at a later date.

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
        by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

[Guide] How to extract ready for programming dump from HP update executable file
        by Vesko356
Recently bios requests for varios HP machines has increased more and more and as the thread title suggest this guide will help and guide members to perform an extraction of the bios file(s) from the various update executables presented as spXXXXXX.exe downloaded from the corresponding for the HP laptop model support page.

Keep the thread clean, do not post bios requests please.
Again - no requests should be made in this thread!
