CTE Battery Charger

Hi,

I have a 24V 8A Battery charger. It belongs to a electric wheechair, and it seems to be out of order. Fuse is ok, but it's just not outputting the 24V 120 coming in is good.

Looking at the board doesn't seem like anything is blown or out of place.

Tired looking for a schematic, but haven't had any luck. Any ideas?

The picture is dark and hard to see the components.
Do you get 160~170VDC between the two legs of the main filter cap in the primary side?
We also need good pictures of the whole bottom side of the board.
BTW, the batteries are good?

Thanks for the response. I'll check the volage when I get home if I can get at the test points. I've attached some more pics, I hope they are easier to read.

Battereies are good.

I have another charger as well with the same problem, but it's a different model yet again than this one. Seems like the guy I had it from before may have damaged them. No 24V from either of them.

As mentioned this is the other charger that doesn't seem to be working either.

Most good charger will not put out charging Voltage if it detects that the batteries are below certain Voltage.

It is going to be tough to trace out the circuit with those heatsinks on the bottom side of the board.
What is the DCV on the batteries terminals when it is hooked up to the charger?

The second unit 16810 does not look like tehy want you to repair it either with the wya the wires from the secondary side of the power transformer are connected to the circuit board. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...1&d=1444049744

It looks like it is Pulse charging circuit.
