So, a few years ago i found 2 Acer desktops sitting on the side of the road and scooped them up. im talking about 2008 or 9. So this thing is a few years old. Well, i havent wanted to put any money into this rig because its been a champion since i first started her up. so i do little things and find deals online ($3 Intel Core 2 Duo processor...etc) and she currently runs Win 7 like a champion. Yesterday I tried to start her up and she wouldnt fire. Darn.
Problem: I opened her up yesterday and pulled out the PSU. Low and behold, there are 3 obviously bad electrolytic caps. Im not sure what part of the circuitry it controls, but it must be causing something because when I plug it in and try to test voltage, i get 0vdc everywhere. So, im goanna start there. I already cleaned off the electrolytic material (not thinking I would post here) but I marked them with a red sharpie. I ordered 3 new replacements from Ebay for $3.80 that should work great and have a slightly higher voltage rating, same capacitance though.

I will update when I get the new caps in and start my install!
