Also the voltages you talk about, we haven't got a clue what pins they correspond to.
Some pins for example the dim pin voltage depends on what the back lights are set to. The PSon and BLon pin should be very close or the same as STBY voltage. Dim, PSon, BLon comes from the main board and tells the PSU what to do. The only voltage originating by the PSU and sent to the main board is STBY.
Maybe the main board has a short somewhere and dragging the voltage down. Who knows. Too hard to tell if we don't see the whole picture or don't get told the whole story.
Maybe make a new thread in the TV section, since you got main board trouble.
thank you CapLeaker allow me to be more specifique if 5V is STB stated on PS legend but it only supplies 4.3V to Mainboard would Mainboard not be negatively affected or would it work anyway?
I'm talking about this PS we're dealing with here.
then on this Power Supply Legend there is no specified Current Value of ANA_DIM and other how to know the correct value?

STBY sez 5V, but delivers 4.3V to the main board is fine. What does STBY do if the main board is disconnected? It is also enough voltage for the PSU to turn itself on (through a pull up resistor) when main board is disconnected.
The ANA DIM pin voltage depends on what the back light brightness was set to and comes from the main board. It could be anything for example 3.2V, 4.3V or 2.8V.
PSon and BLon voltage also comes from the main board. All it does is turn the PSU section responsible on or off. Back in the days Samsung didn't have the pull up resistor feature yet, so we were "forcing" the PSU on by taking a 1K ohm resistor and jumped STBY -> 1K resistor -> PSon, BLon and some Dim pins. There is a threshold (I'd like seeing at least 3V, and that depends on what TV brand). where too little voltage or no voltage from the main board provided to the PSU didn't turn the back lights on. To fix that quickly was to put a 1k resistor between PSon and BLon and called it a day, instead of getting a new main board.

What capacitor should I purchase for Power Supply of obsolete game consoles?
          by chth96
          hello.

I have Sega Saturn and 5 years ago, I recapped all of capacitor in the Power supply, Because At that time, It frequently freezed black screen after SEGA logo displayed.

It hardly ever freezed after I finished to recap all of caps in the power supply.

But Yesterday, It did not show any screen at all and its green power LED constantly blinked.

To my surprise I found that all of two NXH 10v 2200uf capacitors in the secondary area of Power supply have been bulged and It measured 57 mF and 75 mF capacitance.

          It seems that quality...

DVR camera recorder switching power supply capacitor failure really

These cheap non brand capacitors at it again

Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is

Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
          by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
          by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...
