I've got 3 antec power supplies that are completely useless to me right now, and I'm trying to decide if I should RMA them.
First is a Neo HE 500W. It apparently isn't compatible with Intel's 965 chipset, and I've got to send it back in to get one with an updated firmware that is compatible.
The other two are SP-500 models.
One is making a high pitched squeeling noise, even when the PC is off. It's causing my speakers to make all sorts of pops and squeeks when I play sound on the PC.
The second will work all the way up until xp or vista (both do the same thing) is almost all the way booted, then the PC shuts down.
If you guys think recapping the SP-500 units would be a better use of my time, then I might go that way. It's frustrating that I'm going to have to pay to RMA these things.
In the meantime I'm running on an SP-350, but it can't really handle the load of 6 hard drives, 2 dvd drives, and a 7900gt card. It wouldn't even boot until I disconnected one of the hard drives.
