Niky 1000 UPS making strange sparking noises (video)
anyone can explain what and why is this sound "ezz ez ez zzz" clearly starting from 0:34, the ups is niky 1000, i am using 7s6p good lithium 18650 cells pack, that sound only appear when i load any pc or lcd or crt, but never ever when using even much higher load 200w tungsten bulbs, althogh the sound, it never shut down nor give a warning and the pc or lcd or crt works completely normal at all times, in the video u can notice that the bx100 (voltmeter) is restarting with the sound, also the bulb flickers with the sound, i have checked only the largest cap on board (which is not that big) and it was 50v 1000uF and i found it ok, i am really curious to know the reason of that sound, if the battery is full it does not make the sound unless the INDUCTIVE load is too high, weak battery with high but resistive load (bulbs) no sound at all!!
at the end of the video i added a bulb along with the pc and lcd, u can see how the bulb flickers with the sound, when i turned off the pc and lcd the sound is gone and the bulb is not flickering also. what could it be, it is not of a high load at all because no matter how high load but only bulbs it is fine, the pc and lcd used are both no more than 80watts max together, the bulb is 100w, and i used 2 of them with no issues at all for a very long time.Attached Files -

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol! 
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing... -

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.
This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).
I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but... -
I replaced the bulb only on my Toshiba DLP The bulb is a TB-25. This is the first time I've done a bulb only replacement. Supposedly there is a timer module that needs to be re-calibrated or reset. I don't know where the module is located. I see some vendors selling the bulb with the housing stating module included which leads me to think the module is located inside the enclosure the bulb mounts in, but I didn't see it. Maybe it's inside the plug attached to the bulb?
Anyway - I am seeking information on how to reset this so called module so that the lamp will operate. Apparently... -
Hi,
I have a LUMIMAN Smart Bulb that suddenly stopped lighting one day. The bulb is still detected in the app, but won't light. I've probed around and nothing seems to look off with any of the diodes, caps or resistors. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module seems to be working as it's still detected in the app. I even tried deleting and re-pairing the bulb (it didn't light, but I was still able to follow the pairing instructions), it re-paired fine, but still no light.
In diode mode, the LEDs all light up when probed so I'm guessing this means the LEDs themselves are OK. I was expecting...
