Standardization for modular internal computer power supplies

I am still trying to find an industry standard for connectors and leads on modular computer power supplies (internal type) - and I doubt there would ever be an industry standard, because it is apparently specific to a manufacturer and/or series.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Each manufacturer tends to standardize their own cables to a single format.

In the past it was no possible because everyone had to work around patents related to modular cables (I think Ultra had some patent on modular cable)

So they had to carefully make the modular connectors around what the patents claimed.

I'm not exactly sure but I think the Ultra patent was invalidated... but I may be confusing the patent with the one for 140 mm fans.. there was one for this stupidity, and because of this a lot of manufacturers advertised 139.5mm fans on the packaging.
